Shultz Appointed Principal of David Perdue Primary
At the June 9, 2009, board meeting, the Houston County Board of Education appointed Leslie Shultz as principal of David Perdue Primary School for the 2009-2010 school year. Shultz will replace Linda Horne who has accepted the position of executive director of elementary operations.
Shultz has been with the Houston County School System for 18 years and currently serves as the assistant principal for instruction at David Perdue Primary School. She holds an education specialist and master’s from Columbus College and a bachelor’s from Valdosta State University. She is a graduate of Northside High School.
“I am so honored to have been chosen for this position,” said Shultz. “David A. Perdue Primary School is such a wonderful school. The faculty and staff work hard every day to make sure that our students know that our school is a great place to be. Our parents are very supportive and involved in our school, and I look forward to a great year. I am Panda Proud!”
Shultz is married to Matt Shultz. They have two sons: Patrick and Jordan who attend Georgia Southern University, and a daughter, Haley, who will attend Mossy Creek Middle School next year. Her parents are Lt. Col. (retired) William H. McDaniel and Janice B. McDaniel.
