Scott Appointed Principal of Northside High School
At the called board meeting held today, April 30, 2008, the Houston County Board of Education appointed Mark Scott as principal of Northside High School effective the 2008-2009 school year. Scott will replace Dr. Robin Hines, who is transferring to the central office as Assistant Superintendent for School Operations.
Scott holds a specialist degree from Georgia College and State University and master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Georgia. He currently serves as the principal at Oak Hill Middle School in Milledgeville. He joins the Houston County School System with 11 years of experience in education.
“I am humbled by the trust that the Board of Education and Superintendent Carpenter have placed in me as the Principal of Northside High School,” commented Scott. “It is an honor to be part of a school that has such a strong tradition in all aspects of education, including academics, athletics and fine arts. It is a genuine privilege to be a Northside Eagle.”
