Dr. Walker Appointed Principal of Crossroads Center
At the called board meeting held today, April 30, 2008, the Houston County Board of Education appointed Dr. Ronnie Walker as principal of Houston County Crossroads Center effective the 2008-2009 school year. Walker will replace Principal Randall Hinson who is retiring. Dr. Walker currently serves as an assistant principal at Warner Robins High School. He has been with the Houston County School System for 23 years. He holds a doctorate from Argosy University and a specialist degree from Troy State University. Dr. Walker has also earned a master’s from Georgia Southwestern College and a bachelor’s from Fort Valley State University.
“I look forward to this new position and the challenge of leading Crossroads,” commented Dr. Walker. “My goal is to keep Crossroads students in school, excited about learning, and motivated to work toward the ultimate goal of graduation.”
Walker is married to Carita Walker, who serves as the School Technology Coordinator at Northside High School. They have two daughters – Mercedes, a freshman at Valdosta State University, and Brittney, a junior at Northside High. The family resides in Warner Robins.
