WRHS Students Win National and State Awards in Le Grand Concours French Contest

HOUSTON COUNTY, GA – Warner Robins High School students competed in the Le Grand Concours French Test, an annual competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French. Students take a written test and compete against students with similar educational background for prizes such as certificates, medals, books, DVDs, trips and scholarships.
Warner Robins High national winners were Miri Baker and Natasha LaBalle. State winners were Miri Baker, Natasha LaBalle and Candice May (pictured in no particular order). Winners of certificates of excellence were: Hunter Lacey, Darquelle Gooch, Jessica McBride, Jacquelyn Simmons, Jesse Tribble, John Romero, Xiomara Arriaga-Montoya, Sarah Hollifield, Steven Hall, Catherine Greene, Ryan Droese, Summer Kurtz, Keanu Brooks, Matthew Tatman, Farbod Zahiri, Martin Garay-Moreno and Clara Krackan. The Warner Robins High French teacher is Debbie Arnold.
Students of French in grades first through twelfth, in all 50 states and abroad, compete. More than 100,000 students of French participated in this year’s contest. They enter via their French teacher.
