Houston County Schools participate in the State Health Benefit Plan.  The Board will contribute 18.5% of all state-based compensation for certified employees. That is about $6,290 for a teacher earning $34,000 per year and nearly $2,000 annually per classified participant to fund health care coverage for our employees.
