The Human Resources Department is here to assist you with the transition into employment. All new hires must attend a New Hire Meeting to process employment forms. During the New Hire Meeting, the Human Resources Department will share important information regarding your salary, benefits and contract. Meeting Location: The Houston County Board of Education, Central Office located at 1100 Main Street in Perry, Georgia. Prior to the meeting, you should: • Pick up your new hire packet from the Human Resources department of the Central Office located at 1100 Main Street in Perry, Georgia; • Be prepared to have your picture taken for your identification badge when you pick up your packet; • Complete the entire packet to the best of your ability prior to attending the meeting; • Take the fingerprinting card and fingerprint verification form (P-2) from within the packet to the Houston County Sheriff’s office located at 202 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia, to be fingerprinted; and • Review the benefit information and gather necessary beneficiary information such as birth date, SSN, address, marriage license, birth certificates, etc. During the meeting, you will: • Spend up to three to four hours meeting with Human Resources professionals; • Listen to a benefits presentation in a small-group session; • Meet individually with Human Resources professionals in review of employment forms; • Meet one-on-one with the salary and certification specialists; and • Finalize your benefits enrollment with the benefits coordinator.
